Founded in 1983 as the Eastwick New Church Project; first worship service held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lynch on March 18, 1984Received the Denman Award for Evangelism twice (1996 and 2011) from The Eastern PA Conference and the Kim Jefferson Award for Urban MinistryOperates a substantial Food Bank that distributed 2,600 food baskets per month at peak capacity, plus a separate Mission House providing food and clothing assistanceHoused a satellite division of the Center for Urban Theological Studies and serves as a resource and training center for 'Strengthening the Black Church'
