Contact UsAn Episcopal congregation in Hatboro, PA, rooted in ancient traditions with an emphasis on weekly Holy Communion. Worship features music ranging from chant to traditional hymns to international and folk music. The church is active in community service including a food pantry and blood drives.
Our Faith
We are guided by the "three-legged stool" of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. The Bible is primary; the Church's tradition and human reason illuminate its meaning for each generation.
We affirm the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of the Christian faith. They unite us with Christians across centuries and denominations.
We celebrate Baptism and the Eucharist as the two sacraments ordained by Christ. The Lord's Supper is the central act of Anglican worship — we are fed by Christ's body and blood.
Our worship is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer — a treasury of Scripture, prayer, and liturgy that forms us in the faith and unites Anglicans worldwide.
We stand as a "middle way" — holding together Catholic order, evangelical faith, and Reformed theology. We welcome all to the table of grace in a spirit of generous orthodoxy.
Visiting Our Parish
Free parking is available on-site. The church is located just off York Road in Hatboro, about a mile north of I-276.
Children are always welcome in worship at Church of the Advent. Episcopal liturgy engages all the senses, and we delight in the presence of young ones during the service.
First-time visitors are warmly welcomed — there's no need to register in advance. Join us for the 9:00 am Sunday Eucharist with music; a greeter will help you find your way and feel at home. The service is also livestreamed on our YouTube channel if you'd like to worship from home first.
We want everyone to be able to worship with us. Please let us know if we can make your visit easier, and we'll gladly assist with accessible seating or any accommodation you need in our historic chapel.
After Sunday worship we gather for coffee and fellowship — a relaxed chance to meet parishioners and clergy. Please stay a while; you'll find a friendly welcome.
