Founded in 1891 by a group of faithful individuals and families who desired a Lutheran Church in Wallingford.In 1986, the church approved the ministry of a preschool named Little Zion Preschool.The church moved to its current location on Pond Hill Road in 1977 after previously being located on Ward Street and Whittlesey Avenue.
