Plan Your Visit →Thomas Chapel Church of Christ is a welcoming community that emphasizes spiritual maturity and service to others in the name of Christ.
Our Faith
We believe salvation comes through Jesus Christ, and as joint heirs with Him we are called to preach the good news of that salvation. Our hope and identity are rooted in being made one with Christ.
We seek first the Kingdom of God in all things, surrendering our own desires so that God's will, not ours, is done in our lives. We pursue maturity in the Spirit as God leads and guides His people.
We believe in living daily in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, growing more sensitive to God's presence in everyday life. We worship and walk in the Spirit, trusting God to bring His people to spiritual maturity.
We are called to live out our faith through acts of mercy — healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and clothing those in need. Caring for the vulnerable is a central expression of our witness to Christ.
We believe the church is a family bound together in love, called to pray for one another and to love one another as Christ commands. This mutual care is the mark of a faithful congregation.
As a congregation in the Disciples of Christ tradition, we are committed to preaching and living the Scriptures, preparing the way of the Lord. We give God the glory for all He has done and trust Him for what He is yet to do.

Your First Visit
Parking is available near our building at 30 White St. in New Haven. If you have any trouble finding a spot on your first visit, a greeter will be glad to help point the way.
Children are warmly welcomed in worship, and Sunday School at 9:15 A.M. offers age-appropriate Bible learning. Little ones are always a joy in our services—never a distraction.
On your first Sunday, simply arrive a few minutes early and let a greeter know it's your first time. As a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregation, we practice an open table—all are welcome at Communion, observed on the First Sunday of each month. Baptisms are celebrated on the Third Sunday.
We strive to make worship accessible to everyone. If you have specific accessibility needs, please call us ahead at 203-865-6254 and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Stay a few minutes after the service for fellowship—it's a wonderful chance to share a warm welcome, meet members, and ask any questions you may have.
