Plan Your Visit →The Church of St. Michael and St. George is an Episcopal church dedicated to worship, education, and outreach, fostering transforming relationships with God and each other.
Our Faith
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation. Scripture is read, proclaimed, and prayed in our worship as the foundation for faith and life.
We worship one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This belief in the Triune God is confessed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds at the heart of our common prayer.
We believe Jesus Christ is the incarnate Son of God, fully divine and fully human. Through his life, death, and resurrection, humanity is reconciled to God and offered the hope of eternal life.
We hold the two great sacraments of the Gospel: Holy Baptism and the Holy Eucharist. Baptism is full initiation into the Body of Christ, and the Eucharist is the central act of our worship.
Our shared life is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer, which unites the congregation in liturgy, the church calendar, and the daily rhythm of worship within the Episcopal tradition.
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, called to proclaim the Gospel, care for one another through pastoral ministry, and serve our neighbors through outreach, mercy, and the pursuit of justice.

Visiting Our Parish
Parking is available on-site and along nearby streets at 6345 Wydown Blvd. Greeters can help direct first-time visitors to the entrance.
Children and families are warmly welcomed. The parish has a dedicated Children's Ministry led by a Director of Children's Ministry, a Youth Ministry for students in 6th grade through high school, and St. Michael's Episcopal Day School. Families with young children are always welcome in worship.
First-time visitors are warmly welcomed at CSMSG. Sunday worship uses the Rite I liturgy, whose poetic and rich language draws worshippers into the sacred tradition of the Church. You can read more on the parish's 'FAQs and Details' page or simply arrive a few minutes early so a greeter can help you find your way and follow along in the service leaflet.
The church is committed to welcoming all worshippers. A Hearing Loop is installed to assist those with hearing aids, and information about it is available to visitors. Please contact the parish office at 314.721.1502 with any additional accessibility needs.
Following the morning services, visitors and parishioners are invited to gather for coffee and fellowship — a relaxed chance to meet clergy, parishioners, and other newcomers.
