Plan Your Visit →St. James Episcopal Church is a welcoming parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon that believes there is a place for everyone around God's table. Their mission is to love God, love their neighbor, and serve one another as they carry on Christ's mission in the world.
Our Faith
St. James believes in one God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The congregation follows Jesus Christ and holds to the historic Trinitarian faith handed down from the beginnings of Christianity.
Worship follows the ancient liturgical structure of the Anglican tradition, centered on the Book of Common Prayer. This shared order of worship unites Episcopalians across the worldwide Anglican Communion, so a visitor can find the same form of service in any country.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is central to the church's worship. It is open to all baptized Christians, not only members of the Episcopal Church, reflecting the conviction that the Lord's table is Christ's table.
The church shapes its life around loving God with all heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving one's neighbor as oneself. This mission calls the parish to worship, ministry, outreach, and fellowship as it carries on Christ's mission in the world.
St. James believes every human being is made in the image of God and is to be treated with love, respect, and honor. All people are welcomed regardless of background, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, age, family structure, or ability.
