Founded in 1951 on Christmas Day after Catholics in Alpine previously had to drive 30 miles round trip to attend MassOriginally named St. Philomena; renamed Queen of Angels and rededicated by Bishop Charles F. Buddy in 1952Church was enlarged in 1984 to accommodate 225 families; classrooms built by parishioners in 1966 remain in use today
