Founded in 1969 from a community nurtured by Father Thomas Chelena, originally purchasing their church building from St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Old BridgeByzantine Catholic church in full communion with Rome since 1646, part of the Eparchy of Passaic which spans the entire east coast from Massachusetts to FloridaThe parish hall was lost to fire in 2003 under Father Vlad Zablotskyy's leadershipByzantine Rite liturgy is sung entirely by pastor and congregation with no instrumental music other than voicesChurch features an icon of St. Jude and hosts a social hour with coffee and food following Sunday Divine Liturgy
