Contact UsMaranatha Bible Church is a small Independent Baptist Church located in New Glasgow Nova Scotia, dedicated to making God's Word fully known and helping people mature in their faith.
Our Faith
We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God and our sole and final authority for all matters of faith and practice. Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura) governs what we believe and how we live.
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the sovereign Creator and sustainer of all things, holy, loving, and worthy of all worship.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sin, rose bodily from the grave, and will return again. Salvation is found in Christ alone (Solus Christus).
We believe sinners are saved by the grace of God alone (Sola Gratia) through faith alone (Sola Fide), not by works. This salvation is a free gift received by repentance and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
We believe baptism by immersion is for those who have personally trusted Christ, as a public testimony of their faith. As an Independent Baptist church, we hold to the autonomy of the local church gathered to worship, grow, and serve together.
