A Conversation with Author, Missionary, and Wall Street Money Manager Stephen Auth MBA'85
Our Faith
We believe in one God in three Divine Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This one God is the Creator of heaven and earth and the source and goal of all life.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, true God and true man, who suffered, died, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven for our salvation. The Harvard Catholic Center exists to help the community grow in a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe God's revelation is handed on through both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, authentically interpreted by the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Through inquiry and the riches of the Catholic intellectual tradition, the faithful come to know and love the truth.
We believe the seven sacraments—Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony—are efficacious signs of grace instituted by Christ. The Eucharist, the true Body and Blood of Christ, is the source and summit of Catholic worship and life.
We believe the Church, founded by Christ upon the apostles, is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. As the Roman Catholic chaplaincy at Harvard since 1893, we form disciples who use their gifts for the flourishing of the Church and the world.

We honor the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Mother of God and venerate the saints as models of holiness and intercessors before God. We believe in the communion of saints that unites the faithful on earth with those in heaven.
We believe that through God's grace, faith in Christ, and a life of prayer, service, and the sacraments, we are called to eternal life with God. The Christian vocation is to grow in holiness and to share Christ's love for the flourishing of the world.
