Our Faith
We hold the Bible as the inspired Word of God, containing all things necessary to salvation. Grace Church honors a lively interplay of God's revelation, encouraging members to engage Scripture thoughtfully even amid varied interpretations, held together in unity rather than uniformity.
We worship one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — as confessed in the historic creeds of the Church. This faith, summarized in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, anchors our common prayer and belief.
We believe the sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace. Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist are the two great sacraments of the Gospel, central to our worship and life together as the Body of Christ.
Our worship and devotion are shaped by the Book of Common Prayer, which unites us in shared liturgy and the rhythms of corporate and personal prayer. It expresses the Anglican conviction that how we pray shapes what we believe.
We seek every day to love God with our whole heart, mind, and soul, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:36-40). This love compels our ministries of service in worship, in the church, and in the community and abroad.

Visiting Our Parish
Parking is available at or near the church at 820 Howard St, Carthage, MO. If you have any trouble finding a spot on your first visit, a greeter or usher will be glad to help.
Children are welcome in worship, and the parish offers programs for young people including Vacation Bible School. Episcopal churches commonly provide Sunday school and a nursery—reach out ahead of your visit to confirm what's available for your family.
First-time guests are warmly welcomed at Grace Church, the oldest Episcopal parish in the four-states area. Feel free to fill out the Visitor Form on the website or simply introduce yourself to a greeter—there's no pressure, and you're invited to participate as much or as little as you'd like.
The parish strives to welcome everyone. If you have specific accessibility needs—such as wheelchair access, seating, or assistance during the service—please contact the church office at (417) 358-4631 ahead of your visit so they can help you feel at home.
Many Episcopal parishes gather for coffee hour and fellowship after the service—a relaxed chance to meet clergy and members. Ask a greeter where to find refreshments and conversation following worship.
