Our Faith
We believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, confessed in the words of the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. Following Jesus in the world today is at the heart of our common life and mission.
We believe the Bible was written by people inspired by the Holy Spirit and is foundational to our faith. Scripture is read and understood in the light of tradition and reason, offering truth that guides us in our daily lives.
We believe the Sacraments, including Baptism and Holy Communion, are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace. All present are welcome to receive Holy Communion at the Lord's Table.
Episcopal faith rests on three pillars: Holy Scripture, the Tradition of past generations and Church Councils, and Reason. Together they reveal God's purposes and help us remain faithful while honoring intellectual freedom and individual conscience.
We believe what we pray, in keeping with the Anglican principle of lex orandi, lex credendi. The Book of Common Prayer shapes our worship and centers our lives in Christ, with the liturgy itself expressing what we believe.

We believe the Church is led by bishops whose authority traces back to the first-century Apostles, organized into dioceses and parishes of baptized Christians. As a community we are accountable to one another and to the wider world, incarnating Christ to others through our many and diverse gifts.
