Contact UsSt. Stephen's Episcopal Church is a welcoming, confident community that embodies spiritual diversity and inclusivity, encouraging all to learn, grow, and heal together in faith.
Our Faith
We are guided by the "three-legged stool" of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. The Bible is primary; the Church's tradition and human reason illuminate its meaning for each generation.
We affirm the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of the Christian faith. They unite us with Christians across centuries and denominations.
We celebrate Baptism and the Eucharist as the two sacraments ordained by Christ. The Lord's Supper is the central act of Anglican worship — we are fed by Christ's body and blood.
Our worship is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer — a treasury of Scripture, prayer, and liturgy that forms us in the faith and unites Anglicans worldwide.
We stand as a "middle way" — holding together Catholic order, evangelical faith, and Reformed theology. We welcome all to the table of grace in a spirit of generous orthodoxy.

Visiting Our Parish
Free parking is available on-site at 4615 South 3200 West, West Valley City. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to find a spot and get settled before the 11 am service.
Children of all ages are welcome in worship. Episcopal services include moments where little ones can participate, and families are encouraged to sit wherever they feel comfortable.
The Sunday service starts at 11 am. Bulletins with the full order of service are in a basket at the entrance — just grab one and sit anywhere. We use the red Book of Common Prayer for the liturgy and the blue book for hymns. Throughout the service you'll see people standing, kneeling, or sitting; follow along as you are able and as you feel comfortable. As a bilingual parish (St. Stephen's English-speaking and San Esteban Spanish-speaking), all are welcomed regardless of background, sexual identity, or orientation — God loves you, no exceptions.
The worship space is accessible to visitors with mobility needs. If you have specific accommodations you'd like us to know about in advance, please call the parish office at (801) 968-2731 or email ststephenswvc@gmail.com.
Coffee and fellowship are offered after the service — a wonderful chance to meet parishioners and clergy in a relaxed setting.
