St. Patrick’s Parish is a welcoming Catholic church in Markham, Ontario. Join us for Mass, sacraments, parish ministries, and community life at 5633 Hwy 7.
Our Faith
We believe God's revelation is handed on through both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, faithfully interpreted by the teaching authority (Magisterium) of the Church. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is read and proclaimed within the life and liturgy of the Church.
We believe in one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This central mystery of the Christian faith is professed in the Nicene Creed at every Sunday Mass.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, true God and true man, who suffered, died, and rose again for the salvation of all people. Through His death and resurrection He reconciles humanity to the Father and offers the gift of eternal life.
We believe Christ instituted seven sacraments — Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Marriage — as efficacious signs of grace. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith, in which we receive the true Body and Blood of Christ.
We believe that in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, God offers forgiveness of sins through the ministry of the priest. Through honest confession and contrition, the faithful are restored to grace and renewed in their relationship with God and the Church.
