Two-campus parish dating back to 1883, with St. Patrick Church in Merna established by Bishop John Lancaster Spaulding and St. Mary Church in Downs dedicated in 1910 with a procession of people who arrived by train from BloomingtonSt. Patrick Church in Merna was severely damaged by tornado in 1902 and Masses were celebrated on the church lawn during repairsOperates two Catholic schools: Corpus Christi Catholic School and Central Catholic High School, serving preschool through high school studentsOffers extensive Eucharistic Adoration with specific schedules at both locations throughout the week
