Plan Your Visit →St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is an active congregation located along the Potomac River in King George, Virginia, with a rich history dating back to the 18th century, proclaiming the good news of God in Christ through word and deed.
Our Faith
We are guided by the "three-legged stool" of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. The Bible is primary; the Church's tradition and human reason illuminate its meaning for each generation.
We affirm the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of the Christian faith. They unite us with Christians across centuries and denominations.
We celebrate Baptism and the Eucharist as the two sacraments ordained by Christ. The Lord's Supper is the central act of Anglican worship — we are fed by Christ's body and blood.
Our worship is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer — a treasury of Scripture, prayer, and liturgy that forms us in the faith and unites Anglicans worldwide.
We stand as a "middle way" — holding together Catholic order, evangelical faith, and Reformed theology. We welcome all to the table of grace in a spirit of generous orthodoxy.
