St. Mark’s Episcopal Church: Rooted in love, shaped by prayer. Come experience the love! We are a family that rejoices and celebrates together.
Our Faith
St. Mark's affirms the Old and New Testaments as the revealed Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation. Scripture is read, preached, and prayed in every service as the foundation of faith and life.
We believe in one God in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This faith is confessed in the words of the Nicene and Apostles' Creeds.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully human and fully divine, who died and rose again for the salvation of the world. Through his life, death, and resurrection we are reconciled to God.
St. Mark's celebrates Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist as the two great sacraments given by Christ. In Baptism we are made members of Christ's Body, and in the Eucharist we are nourished by his Body and Blood.
Our worship is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer, uniting Scripture, sacrament, and shared liturgy. We gather weekly to praise God, hear his Word, and be sent out to serve.
As the Episcopal church on Marco Island, St. Mark's opens its doors and hearts to year-round and seasonal residents alike. We seek to share God's love and to be a spiritual home where all are welcomed.
