St. James ACNA is rooted in traditional faith within a contemporary world, emphasizing orthodox beliefs and community worship.
Our Faith
St. James Anglican Church recites the Nicene Creed every Sunday as a summary of the orthodox faith handed down from the early Church. Drawn from the councils of Nicea (AD 325) and Constantinople (AD 381), it expresses the essentials the congregation believes and confesses together.
The church believes in one God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible.
The church confesses Jesus Christ as the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, true God from true God, who became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary. For the sake of human salvation he was crucified, died, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
The church believes in the Holy Spirit as the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son and is worshiped and glorified together with them. The Spirit spoke through the prophets and gives life to the Church.
St. James affirms one holy catholic and apostolic Church and acknowledges one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. The church looks forward in hope to the resurrection of the dead and the everlasting life of the world to come.

Visiting Our Parish
Free parking is available on-site, with greeters happy to help you find your way in.
Children are welcome in worship, and age-appropriate ministry is available. Ask a greeter or usher about children's programs and where to take little ones.
Sunday worship follows the Book of Common Prayer, and the full text of the service — including responses and prayers — is printed in the bulletin, so you can easily follow along. The congregation recites the Nicene Creed together each week. Communion is currently served using individual jars of consecrated wine. If you'd like to learn more or speak with the rector, Rev. Cindy Stansbury, the church office is glad to connect you.
The church aims to be welcoming to all. If you have specific accessibility needs, contact the parish office ahead of your visit and the staff will be glad to assist.
Coffee and fellowship are offered in the parish hall after each service — a relaxed way to meet members of the congregation and the clergy.

As a congregation of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), the church grounds its teaching in the Anglican catechism, "To Be A Christian." This shared instruction outlines the content of the faith and shapes how members live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
