Plan Your Visit →Welcome to the Syro Malabar Catholic Church of Atlanta, a parish with over 400 families dedicated to a vibrant spirit of community and unique South Indian traditions.
Our Faith
We believe in one God in three Divine Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This mystery of the Triune God is the central truth of the Christian faith and the source of all the Church's life and worship.
We believe Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God, who became man, suffered, died on the Cross, and rose again for our salvation. Through His death and resurrection He reconciled humanity to God and opened the way to eternal life.
We believe God's revelation is handed on through both Sacred Scripture and the living Tradition of the Church. Together, under the guidance of the Magisterium, they form the one deposit of faith entrusted to the Church.
We believe Christ is encountered in the seven sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist (Qurbana), the true Body and Blood of Christ and the source and summit of the Christian life. Celebrated in the ancient Syro-Malabar (East Syriac) liturgical tradition, the sacraments communicate God's grace at every stage of life.
We believe in the Church founded by Christ upon the Apostles, in full communion with the Pope as successor of St. Peter. As Syro-Malabar Catholics, we trace our heritage to the apostolic mission of St. Thomas the Apostle in India.
