Come as you are. Everyone is welcome here.
Northbrook Bible Chapel is a community focused on glorifying God through worship, prayer, and Bible study, emphasizing the importance of scripture and salvation by grace through faith.
Our Faith
We believe the Bible in its entirety—all 66 canonical books—is inspired by God and free of error in the original writings. It is our sole authority on all matters of doctrine and conduct.
We believe the Godhead eternally exists in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and that these three are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections.
We believe Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, fully God and truly Man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We affirm His sinless life, substitutionary atonement, bodily resurrection, ascension, priestly intercession, and personal, visible return.
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person with all the attributes of God. He indwells believers to enable them to serve Christ, comforts and instructs them, and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and coming judgment.
We believe the Genesis account of creation is factual and historic, and that humans are a special creation of God, made in His image. Because of Adam's disobedience, all people are sinners from birth, guilty before God, and subject to physical and spiritual death.

We believe salvation is by grace alone, received as a gift from God through faith alone in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, entirely apart from good works. It includes the forgiveness of sins, a new nature, and the guarantee of eternal life.
We believe the penalty of sin requires payment, fully accomplished once for all by the shed blood of Christ when He died in our place. His sacrifice is acceptable to God and effective for all who believe.
