Founded in March 1975 with 18 people meeting in a rustic township building; organized with 33 members and four ruling elders by July 1975Originally named 'Living Word Presbyterian Church' but changed to 'Hillcrest PCA' in the 1980s to avoid confusion with another churchCongregation members built the original church building themselves in the late 1970s and later completed a major expansion during Pastor Hughes' tenure in the 1990sPlanted two daughter churches: one in DuBois, Pennsylvania and one in Seneca, PennsylvaniaHosts annual Winter Seminar events, including a 2026 seminar on 'A Gospel-Shaped Marriage' with Dr. Chad Van Dixhoorn
