Friendship United Methodist Church is a vibrant, diverse, and dedicated congregation that emphasizes inclusion and community service, striving to glorify Jesus Christ in all endeavors.
Our Faith
Following the Wesleyan tradition, Friendship UMC holds a fundamental understanding of God's grace as central to the Christian life. Salvation and transformation flow from God's grace rather than human merit.
The church is anchored in Scripture, which together with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ forms the foundation of its faith and practice. The Bible grounds the congregation's theology and daily walk.
The congregation strives to glorify Jesus Christ in all they do, both at church and in daily life. Their faith is based in the life and teachings of Jesus, whom they proclaim by word and deed.
Friendship UMC believes in the continuing movement and power of the Holy Spirit, which strengthens the congregation's life together. Believers are called to live in the power of the Holy Spirit as they serve the world.
Reflecting the distinctive Wesleyan emphasis, the church values the importance of holiness in the heart and in all aspects of life. Personal and social holiness shape how members live and serve.
As part of the global United Methodist Church, Friendship UMC embraces the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Members commit to ministry through their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
