First United Presbyterian Church is an intimate and diverse family congregation in Cambridge, dedicated to celebrating God's love and serving the community through a variety of ministries and worship experiences.
Our Faith
We believe we cannot earn our way into God's presence by our own efforts. Through Jesus Christ, God has made a way of grace that offers us hope and freedom, opening the door to life anew through faith in Him.
We believe Jesus is the Son of God who came to free the world from the bondage of sin, God dwelling in the presence of His people. He is Lord, and our faith and hope rest in Him.
As a Reformed church, we affirm that Scripture is God's Word, profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness, so that the people of God may be complete and equipped for every good work.
We practice infant baptism as a sign of God's grace extended through His covenant, and we also baptize adults who come to faith. Baptism marks our belonging to God's covenant community.
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month so that our senses may remind us of what God has done for us in Christ. Every baptized person who comes with a repentant heart and professes faith in Christ is welcome at the table.
We believe the church is not a place for people who already have it all together, but a community of broken and hurting people brought together by grace in Christ, who is at work fixing and transforming us.

We believe being a Christian is a radical way of life rather than a once-a-week venture, shaping how we treat family, neighbors, and even those we disagree with. We are intentional about caring for the poor, the hungry, the homeless, and those pushed to the margins.
