First Presbyterian Church is dedicated to exploring what it means to follow Christ while serving the people of Norman, emphasizing love, justice, mercy, compassion, reconciliation, and joy.
Our Faith
We believe God is absolutely sovereign over all things — creation, providence, and salvation. He works all things according to the counsel of His will for His glory.
We hold to the Reformed confession that Holy Scripture is the only infallible rule for faith and life. No tradition or church authority may stand above the Word of God.
We affirm the five solas of the Reformation. Salvation is entirely God's gracious gift, received through faith alone, grounded entirely in Christ's atoning work.
We understand God's relationship with His people through the biblical covenants. Baptism is a covenant sign for believers and their children, marking membership in the covenant community.
We are guided by the historic Reformed confessions — Westminster Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, or the Belgic Confession — as faithful summaries of biblical teaching.

Your First Visit
Free parking is available near the church at 555 South University Blvd. If you have trouble finding a spot or the entrance, a greeter will be glad to point you the right way.
Children are loved here. A nursery staffed by background-checked, trained team members welcomes infants through Kindergarten, and children's worship programs are available for kids in First through Fifth grade.
Everyone is welcome and there are no assigned pews, so sit wherever you like. Midway through the service we greet one another, but if you're more introverted feel free to stay in your seat and simply wave — no judgment. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and all are welcome to participate.
The church welcomes everyone and aims to make worship accessible to all. If you have specific accessibility needs, the church office at (405) 321-0933 or office@fpcnorman.org can help you plan your visit.
Fellowship matters to this community, so plan to stick around after worship for coffee and conversation — it's a relaxed way to meet people and ask any questions you may have.
