Celebrating MORE THAN 175 Years of Mission, the Episcopal Diocese of Austin represents a diverse community of believers across Texas, providing various worship experiences and encouraging meaningful engagement.
Our Faith
We are guided by the "three-legged stool" of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. The Bible is primary; the Church's tradition and human reason illuminate its meaning for each generation.
We affirm the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of the Christian faith. They unite us with Christians across centuries and denominations.
We celebrate Baptism and the Eucharist as the two sacraments ordained by Christ. The Lord's Supper is the central act of Anglican worship — we are fed by Christ's body and blood.
Our worship is shaped by the Book of Common Prayer — a treasury of Scripture, prayer, and liturgy that forms us in the faith and unites Anglicans worldwide.
We stand as a "middle way" — holding together Catholic order, evangelical faith, and Reformed theology. We welcome all to the table of grace in a spirit of generous orthodoxy.
Visiting Our Parish
Free parking is available on or near the church grounds, and greeters can help direct first-time visitors when they arrive.
Children are welcome and cherished in worship. Many Episcopal churches offer a nursery for infants and young children, along with Sunday school or children's chapel, though children are always welcome to remain with their families during the service.
First-time visitors are warmly welcomed — arrive a few minutes early and a greeter will help you find your way, locate a seat, and follow along in the service. There is no pressure to participate in anything that feels unfamiliar; you are invited to take part as much or as little as you wish.
The church strives to be welcoming to all, with accessible entrances and seating available. If you have specific accessibility needs, an usher or staff member will be glad to assist you.
Most congregations gather for coffee and fellowship after the service — a relaxed time to meet members, ask questions, and get to know the community. Visitors are especially encouraged to join.
