Contact UsThe Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd is a community gathered by God through Jesus Christ to witness to God's presence, teach the Good News of Jesus Christ, and care for others both within and outside the church.
Our Faith
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation. Scripture is read, proclaimed, and studied as the foundation of our common life and witness to Jesus Christ.
We worship one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — as confessed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. This triune God gathers us as a community to witness to His presence in our lives.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, who lived, died, and rose again for our salvation. The Good News of Jesus Christ is the heart of what we teach, learn, and proclaim.
We celebrate the two great sacraments of the Gospel — Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist — as outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace. Through them, Christ is truly present and the community is nourished and sent into the world.
We are a community gathered by God through Jesus Christ, called to worship together, share life in common, and support one another in faith. Parish life, learning, and shared meals embody our belonging to one another in Christ.

We believe the love of God calls us to care for others both inside and outside the church. Through ministries like Community Lunch, Good Samaritan Haven, and Vermont Interfaith Action, we seek to serve our neighbors and pursue justice and mercy.
As an Episcopal parish, we stand in the Anglican tradition of common prayer, scripture, reason, and tradition working together. We welcome questions and discussion as part of a living faith seeking understanding.
