Covenant Presbyterian Church is dedicated to inspiring all generations to follow Jesus, grow in his likeness, and serve God's mission in the world. The church emphasizes experiencing, nurturing, and sharing God's covenant love through worship and community service.
Our Faith
We believe in the living and only true God—Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler of all that exists—revealed in Scripture as the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In God is all the fullness of righteousness, justice, goodness, and love, and in life and in death we belong to God alone, whom we worship and serve.
We believe in Jesus Christ as truly God and truly human, born of the virgin Mary, who showed us how to live, died for our sins, bodily rose from the grave, and ascended into heaven. He is Lord of all and Head of His Body the Church, and He will return in glory to judge the world in righteousness and reign forever.
We believe the Holy Spirit fills our hearts by faith, teaches us the way of Christ through Scripture, and gives gifts for Christian service to every believer. The Spirit convicts us of sin, assures us that we are forgiven and made new in Christ, and empowers us to live the Christian life.
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the authoritative and inspired Word of God. The same Holy Spirit who inspired its authors gives understanding to readers who seek God's saving truth, and the Bible calls all people to an obedient response to the Good News of God's saving love in Jesus Christ, the Living Word.
