Our Faith
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, containing the story of God's love from Creation to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Scripture grounds our worship and shapes the Book of Common Prayer, two-thirds of which is drawn directly from the Bible.
We are part of a living faith that spans 2,000 years, embodying the experience of Christians across the centuries. The heart of our tradition is expressed in the Bible, the Creeds, and the sacraments, and it is carried in a rich diversity of worship styles, languages, cultures, and music.
We believe each person, with God's help, integrates Scripture and tradition into daily life through informed reasoning. Surrounded by God's grace and informed by Scripture, our intellect connects body and soul so we may love God, love our neighbor, and love ourselves.
Our faith is guided by the traditional belief of the Church as stated in the Nicene Creed. As a constituent member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, we hold the historic faith handed down through the centuries.
We believe a sacrament is an outward and visible sign of an inward and invisible grace. God's grace is shared with humanity through the seven historic sacraments: Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Ordination, Marriage, Anointing, and Reconciliation.

From the Catholic tradition we uphold the threefold orders of ministry of bishops, priests, and deacons. All baptized persons are welcome to receive Holy Communion at any of our services.
We believe the sacramental life of the church is open to all members regardless of gender or sexual orientation, including marriage and ordination. As Anglicanism forms a bridge between the Reformed Protestant churches and the Catholic Church, we proclaim that God loves you, and so do we.
