Contact UsThe United Church of Canada is a progressive church with a rich history of welcoming all in the name of Christ, formed through a union of various Christian denominations in 1925.
Our Faith
We believe we are not alone — we live in God's world. God is the creator and sustainer of all life, present and at work in the world and in our lives.
We believe God comes to us in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make all things new. In his life, death, and resurrection we see the depth of God's love and the way of grace.
We trust that God works in us and in others through the Holy Spirit, guiding, renewing, and empowering the community of faith for love and service.
We are called to be the church: to celebrate God's presence, to live with respect in creation, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, and to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope.
Wherever you are on your faith journey, there is a place for you at the table. We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations as beloved children of God.
Your First Visit
Free parking is generally available on-site or on nearby streets, and greeters can help direct you when you arrive.
Children are welcome in worship, and most congregations offer Sunday school or a nursery so families can participate comfortably together.
Whoever you are, there is a place for you. Expect a friendly greeter to welcome you, help you find a seat, and answer any questions — there is nothing you need to know or do in advance.
The United Church of Canada is committed to welcoming all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Most congregations offer wheelchair-accessible entrances and seating, and staff are glad to help with any accessibility needs.
Most United Church congregations gather for coffee and refreshments after the service, a relaxed and easy way to meet people and feel at home.
