Contact UsTrinity Episcopal Cathedral is a historic faith community of the Episcopal Church committed to following the teachings of Jesus with radical inclusivity, welcoming all people as beloved children of God. The cathedral embodies God's love through worship, hospitality, music, art, and outreach ministries.
Our Faith
Trinity Episcopal Cathedral traces its roots to the Church of England and is part of the global Anglican Communion. The church treasures a heritage shaped by centuries of worship, music, and scholarship, honoring tradition while embracing a diverse, modern community.
Faith rests on the "three-legged stool" of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. Scripture reveals God's story through the Old and New Testaments, Tradition draws believers into a living faith of creeds and liturgy practiced for over 2,000 years, and Reason invites thoughtful reflection, intellect, and conscience into the spiritual journey.
The congregation gathers weekly for prayer, Scripture readings, hymns, sermons, and the sacraments. The church recognizes two primary sacraments: Baptism, which welcomes a person once into Christ's body the Church through water and prayer, and Holy Communion (the Eucharist), shared each Sunday as a sign of Christ's presence and grace.
The church is governed in a way rooted in history yet shaped for today, led by ordained clergy — deacons, priests, and bishops. This structure values both the local congregation and broad connection within the diocese and wider Anglican Communion.
Visiting Our Parish
Trinity is located in downtown Miami at 464 NE 16th Street. Street parking and nearby lots are available; we suggest arriving a few minutes early to find a spot and settle in before worship begins.
Children are warmly welcomed in worship at Trinity. In the Episcopal tradition we embrace the wonder, questions, and even the wiggles of young ones, and families are invited to participate fully in the life of the cathedral.
Newcomers are welcomed without exception. Trinity has a dedicated 'Your First Visit' page and offers a Visitor Card so the clergy can connect with you personally. Simply arrive, and a greeter will help you feel at home — no prior knowledge of the liturgy is needed.
Trinity's historic 1925 cathedral welcomes all worshippers, and the staff are glad to assist with any accessibility needs. Please contact the cathedral office at (305) 456-8851 in advance so we can ensure your visit is comfortable.
Following worship, the congregation gathers for coffee and fellowship — a relaxed chance to meet the clergy, staff, and fellow parishioners and to learn more about the ministries of the cathedral.
