Contact UsSt. Alphonsus Liguori Parish is an authentically Catholic movement in Peterborough, Ontario that exists to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ: make disciples of all nations.
Our Faith
We believe that God's revelation is handed on through both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, which together form one deposit of faith entrusted to the Church.
We believe in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist — that the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ at the Consecration.
We celebrate seven sacraments instituted by Christ: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony — each a channel of divine grace.
We believe the Catholic Church is the Body of Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit and led by the successor of Peter. Outside the Church, salvation is difficult but not impossible for those who seek God sincerely.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the Last Judgement, and the hope of eternal life in communion with God.

Visiting Our Parish
Parking is generally available on-site or on nearby streets. If you arrive a few minutes early, you'll have no trouble finding a spot and getting settled before Mass begins.
Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at Mass. Families are encouraged to sit together, and many parishes also offer religious education and faith-formation programs for young people.
First-time visitors are always welcome. Arrive a few minutes early, pick up a worship aid or missalette, and feel free to follow along — standing, sitting, and kneeling with the congregation. There is no need to receive Communion if you are not Catholic; you are welcome to come forward for a blessing or simply remain in your pew.
The parish strives to be accessible to all, typically with accessible entrances and seating available. If you have specific accessibility needs, contact the parish office ahead of your visit and the staff will be glad to assist.
Many parishes host coffee and fellowship after Sunday Mass, offering a relaxed chance to meet parishioners and clergy. Check the bulletin or ask an usher for details.
