Our Faith
Shiloh Church believes in God, the Maker and Ruler of all things and Creator of all persons, who is the source of all goodness, beauty, truth, and love.
We believe in Jesus Christ as God manifest in human life — our teacher, our example, and the Savior of the world, whose life of love we are called to follow.
We believe in the Holy Spirit as God present with us, giving guidance, comfort, and strength for every day.
We believe each person is called to develop a practical, workable faith as taught in the Bible and exemplified in the life of Christ, in keeping with the Judeo-Christian tradition. Each member has the freedom to follow the Word of God according to his or her own conscience.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins, in the grace of God for every need, and in the Kingdom of God as the divine rule in human society. We work and pray for the transformation of the world into that Kingdom.
As a United Church of Christ congregation, Shiloh welcomes and celebrates diversity, affirming that people need not believe alike to accomplish God's will. All are invited to the Lord's Table, including persons of the LGBTQ community.
