Plan Your Visit →Saint Paul UMC's mission is to magnify God’s love in downtown Lincoln by welcoming all people, advocating for justice, serving those in need, and empowering people spiritually.
Our Faith
We believe we are called to live as Jesus lived—with love, compassion, and justice in all that we do and say. Following his path and teachings leads us into a deeper awareness and experience of the Sacred.
We believe that all people are loved, valued, and welcomed by God as sacred creations. We are united in our inclusivity of all people, honoring everyone regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
We are called to love God with our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. This active love shapes how we treat one another and engage the world.
We believe God's love for the world is active and engaged, seeking justice and liberty for all. We cannot remain mere observers; faith calls us to advocate for the marginalized, serve those in need, and take a stand even when it is controversial.
We profess that all creation belongs to God and that all we are and possess belongs to God. We are responsible stewards of the earth, called to protect and honor God's creation rather than abuse it.

We are diverse in our particular theological beliefs and do not require a single creed that everyone must affirm. We value questions more than absolutes, trusting that this diversity reflects the vastness of God.
