Our Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God and the final rule for faith and practice. Scripture guides how we worship, live, and serve our community.
We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace received through personal faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by works. Each person must individually trust Christ as Lord and Savior.
We practice baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith, reserved for those who have personally professed belief in Jesus Christ. Baptism follows conversion rather than replacing it.
We believe the local church is a gathered community of baptized believers committed to worship, discipleship, and mutual care, as our congregation has lived out since 1899 serving the Mexican-American community of Austin.
We believe every believer has direct access to God and is called to ministry, honoring the leadership of pastors, deacons, and lay leaders who have faithfully served this congregation across generations.
We believe Christ commands His followers to share the Gospel and make disciples of all nations. Our church's long history of ministry and Christian education reflects this calling to reach our community for Christ.
