Plan Your Visit →Nelson Avenue Community Church is a Christian Reformed Church in Burnaby, BC founded on Jesus Christ that exists to love God, love others, and do justice. They seek to be a community sharing the good news through word and deed, declaring that our world belongs to God.
Our Faith
We believe that God's revelation is handed on through both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, which together form one deposit of faith entrusted to the Church.
We believe in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist — that the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ at the Consecration.
We celebrate seven sacraments instituted by Christ: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony — each a channel of divine grace.
We believe the Catholic Church is the Body of Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit and led by the successor of Peter. Outside the Church, salvation is difficult but not impossible for those who seek God sincerely.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the Last Judgement, and the hope of eternal life in communion with God.
