The New Testament Church

We strive to be the church found in the New Testament, established by Jesus Christ as part of God's eternal plan of salvation. The church was purchased and built by Christ and is organized and functions exactly as He determined in Scripture (Matthew 16:16-18; Ephesians 1:3-4, 19-23).

Christ Alone as Head

The church is the one body of Christ with Him alone as its head. It has no founder other than Jesus and no headquarters other than Heaven, refusing to wear any name but the name of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:4; Colossians 1:18; Romans 16:16).

The Bible as the Only Authority

We use the Bible, the word of God, as the only standard of authority in all matters of faith and practice. Faith comes by hearing the word of God, and we seek to follow it without addition (Romans 10:17; 1 John 2:3-6; John 17:17).

Salvation Through Obedience

Individual members receive salvation from sin by following the will of the Lord, and the Lord Himself adds the saved to His church. This gift of salvation in Christ is offered freely to every person (Acts 2:47).

Church Organization

Each local congregation is overseen by a plurality of qualified elders (also called bishops, shepherds, or overseers) and served by deacons, who have authority only among the saints with whom they meet (Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 5:1-3; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9).

Worship and Edification

Christians in a locality assemble together to worship God, gathering on the first day of the week to provide one another spiritual edification and encouragement (Acts 20:7; Hebrews 10:23-25).

A Family in Christ

We are a family in Christ who love God, love and obey His truth, and love and care for one another. Genuine love for God is shown through obedience to His commandments (1 John 3:18; 4:7-11; 5:1-3).

Regular Bible study sessions held Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
