Our Faith
We believe God is absolutely sovereign over all things — creation, providence, and salvation. He works all things according to the counsel of His will for His glory.
We hold to the Reformed confession that Holy Scripture is the only infallible rule for faith and life. No tradition or church authority may stand above the Word of God.
We affirm the five solas of the Reformation. Salvation is entirely God's gracious gift, received through faith alone, grounded entirely in Christ's atoning work.
We understand God's relationship with His people through the biblical covenants. Baptism is a covenant sign for believers and their children, marking membership in the covenant community.
We are guided by the historic Reformed confessions — Westminster Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, or the Belgic Confession — as faithful summaries of biblical teaching.
Your First Visit
Free parking is available on-site for all visitors and worshippers.
Children are warmly welcomed in worship, and we offer Sunday school and Young Church programs for kids, plus a nursery school ministry. Children's and youth choirs are also part of our community.
First-time visitors are warmly welcomed at First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck — a congregation of around 250 members formed in 1816. You can join us in person or zoom in from anywhere, and our folks will take good care of you.
Our facility is accessible to visitors with mobility needs, and we welcome anyone who wishes to worship with us. As a PC(USA) congregation, we joyfully affirm and welcome the LGBTQ+ community — you are invited to be fully yourself with us.
We invite visitors and members to gather for fellowship and refreshments after worship — a Presbyterian tradition of coffee hour and conversation.
