The Nanaimo Church of the Nazarene is a gathering of people who have experienced the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and are on a mission to share Jesus with everyone.
Our Faith
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the fully inspired Word of God, inerrantly revealing God's will concerning us in all things necessary to our salvation. They are the supreme authority for Christian faith and practice.
We believe in one eternal God, Creator and Sovereign of the universe, revealed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Triune God is holy, loving, and worthy of all worship and obedience.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return in glory.
We believe salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith, believers are justified, regenerated, and adopted as children of God.
We believe in entire sanctification as a second work of grace, subsequent to regeneration, by which believers are made free from original sin and brought into a state of entire devotion to God. This work is wrought instantaneously by the baptism with the Holy Spirit and is accompanied by holy living.

We believe the Church is the community of believers united in Christ, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission. We observe the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper as means of grace and signs of our faith.
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment. The righteous will receive eternal life with God, and the unrepentant will face eternal separation from Him.
