Our Faith
We believe God is absolutely sovereign over all things — creation, providence, and salvation. He works all things according to the counsel of His will for His glory.
We hold to the Reformed confession that Holy Scripture is the only infallible rule for faith and life. No tradition or church authority may stand above the Word of God.
We affirm the five solas of the Reformation. Salvation is entirely God's gracious gift, received through faith alone, grounded entirely in Christ's atoning work.
We understand God's relationship with His people through the biblical covenants. Baptism is a covenant sign for believers and their children, marking membership in the covenant community.
We are guided by the historic Reformed confessions — Westminster Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, or the Belgic Confession — as faithful summaries of biblical teaching.
Your First Visit
Free parking is available on-site at 3600 Kalamazoo Avenue SE. Arrive a few minutes early and feel free to ask a greeter if you need directions to an entrance.
Children are a valued part of the church family. Nursery care for infants and toddlers and age-appropriate Sunday school or children's programming are typically offered, and children are also welcome to remain with their families in worship.
First-time visitors are warmly welcomed—simply arrive a little early and a greeter will help you find your way and answer any questions. There's no need to sign in or do anything special; just come and worship with us.
The building is wheelchair accessible with accessible parking and entrances. If you have specific accessibility needs, contact the church office at 616-452-3191 or connections@brooksidecrc.org and the team will be glad to assist.
Coffee and refreshments are usually served before or after the service, and the time of fellowship afterward is a great opportunity to meet members and ask questions in a relaxed setting.
