Plan Your Visit →This congregation began on May 1, 1952, gathered by Dutch immigrant families who had crossed the ocean to start again. Three years later they opened the building we still worship in today. For all the decades since, we have been known by a simple phrase: a caring community in Blenheim. That is still who we are — a Christian Reformed church on Chatham Street South, gathered every Sunday at 10:00 am to worship God, hear his Word, and go through the week together, children and students and parents and grandparents, and neighbours of every ability. We are between pastors right now, and we are not pretending otherwise. What has not changed is the welcome. Come as you are, sit wherever you like, and let someone at the door know it is your first time. There is a place here for you.
Our Faith
Everything we are flows from Jesus Christ. We gather to worship him, to grow as his followers, and to carry his love into the ordinary streets and farms of Chatham-Kent.
We take our theological cues from the Reformers — Calvin, Luther, and those who followed — and we confess the faith together in the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort.
We hold the Scriptures as the foundation for all we do, seeking to follow Jesus faithfully, empowered by the Holy Spirit and upheld by the grace of God.
We are a congregation of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, in Classis Ontario Southwest — connected to churches across Canada and the United States, and glad to be.
A barrier-free building, a barrier-free sound system, and a fragrance-free sanctuary are not afterthoughts here. They are how we say out loud that everyone belongs in the body of Christ, and that no one should have to ask twice to be included. If getting here is the obstacle, ask us about a ride.

Your First Visit
Come as you are. You will see everything from jeans to Sunday best, and you will fit right in either way.
Free parking on site, with designated accessible spaces near the door.
Children are welcome in the service, and Sunday School runs at 10:00 am for those who would rather have a class of their own. Either choice is the right one.
You will be greeted at the door. We are the brick church with the white steeple at 286 Chatham St. S. — come in, sit wherever you like, and tell someone it is your first time. They will make sure you are not left guessing.
Congregational singing, accompanied — the whole room sings, and no one is listening to how you sound.
About an hour, starting at 10:00 am.
Our People
Pastor
Our pulpit is vacant. Rev. Tim Luimes served this congregation for more than twelve years before accepting a call to Living Hope CRC in Sarnia, and we are grateful for that season. Council is walking through the call process now. In the meantime, worship continues every Sunday at 10:00 am, and the address below still reaches us.
Chair of Council
John chairs Council and helps guide the congregation through this season between pastors. He is glad to hear from anyone with questions about the life and direction of the church.
Chair of Elders
Harold leads the elders, who carry the spiritual care of the congregation — visiting, praying, and walking with members through whatever the year brings.
Chair of Deacons
Jerry leads the deacons, who look after benevolence and practical need, both inside the congregation and among neighbours in Blenheim who are having a hard stretch.

The building is barrier-free, with an elevator serving the levels, designated accessible parking, and an accessible washroom. The sound system is barrier-free too, and we keep the sanctuary fragrance-free so that no one has to weigh coming against how they will feel afterward. If transportation is what stands between you and Sunday morning, ask — rides can be arranged.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper together as a congregation. All who follow Jesus are welcome at the table.
Stay after the service for coffee and fellowship. Nobody is in a hurry to leave, and it is the easiest place to actually meet someone — if you are new, this is the part where you stop being a stranger.
Clerk of Council
Marg keeps the records of Council and handles much of the correspondence of the church. She is a good first point of contact for general questions.
Treasurer
Rick cares for the finances of the church and is happy to answer questions about giving and how support for the ministry is handled.

Linda puts together the weekly bulletin. Send her anything you would like the congregation to know about.
